Who we are
Brno English Centre was set up in 1995 and since then the owners and field of business have remained the same – we have simply grown bigger, and we like to think, better.
The three of us who own the company are strong believers in traditional values such as professionalism, responsibility and doing it right. We have got used to the idea that we are unlikely to become millionaires, but we have managed steady growth and have attracted a loyal and ever-growing group of customers who recommend us to others.
With well over 1000 current students and more than 9000 alumni we are probably the largest school teaching English in Brno and one of the few to specialise in the higher levels. We are able to offer our customers comprehensive language services, including teaching their employees, translating various material and interpreting meetings and presentations – all adapted to the concrete needs of the customer.
Within translation we can help out with the small translations such as excerpts from the criminal register all the way up to major projects such as software localisation or building documentation. We employ more than a dozen native speakers of English (from the UK, the USA, Australia and other countries), allowing us to provide editing and proofreading of translated texts as well as recoding soundtracks for multimedia projects.
